Statement of Faith
SAVED BY GRACE ALONE > THROUGH FAITH ALONE > BY CHRIST ALONE

We believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God and the ultimate authority for how we should live our lives.
We believe in one God, maker of heaven and Earth, existing in the three persons of the Trinity, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life of servitude as an example to us, laying down His life, willingly going to the cross to bear our sins and be our Savior. We believe in His suffering, crucifixion and resurrection, His mediation on our behalf and that He is coming back in full power and glory to judge the living and the dead. We believe salvation comes through Christ alone to the repentant sinner, not by works but by faith alone.
We believe works are an expression of our faith, obedience, and renewal in Christ and that our faith is best exemplified to a dying world in the works God has prepared for us in advance to do.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, living in us, convicting us, molding, interceding and emboldening us to live the life we are called to by faith in Christ Jesus.
We believe in the Church, the Body of Christ, and that we are a part of the Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to the very ends of the earth.
At First Baptist Church of Bellevue, Michigan, our goal is to live out these beliefs beyond W.O.R.D.S. through
Worship, Outreach, Relationships, Discipleship, and Service.
